Sunshine and Rainbow Invitation

I have an event this weekend that I'm sooooo excited about!!!  I'm hosting my first Downline Appreciation Brunch.  This is an event I plan to do twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.  My team is so amazing and I can't wait to spend the morning with them having some yummy food and stamping some amazing make and takes.  I mailed every member of my team this invitation.  I've blocked out some of the event details.  The invitation is in a pocket made of clouds and I love that rainbow on the front!!!  I'm only seeing rainbows these week as I prep for this event! I can't wait to share all the details of it next week after the event!

Waterfront Three Ways

The Waterfront stamp set from the Occasions catalog is so popular.  If you search for this stamp set on Pintrest you will never ever find the bottom of that page.  There. Are. So. Many. Samples.  Every one of them is gorgeous!  This stamp set makes it so easy to create beautiful cards! This first card I only used 2 ink colors, not counting the black for the greeting.  I used Smoky Slate and Soft Sky.  So pretty!
This next card is a beautiful beach scene! If you're somewhere looking at snow this might be just what you need! I love the little palm trees in this set! I love the sketchy look to the stamps, it makes it look like the image is watercolored!
The final card is a city scape.  This was not my original idea, I've seen lots of different versions of this card all over Facebook and Pintrest.  I don't know who the original creator is.  I love this card!  I used glossy cardstock for some added shine and stamped in Black Archival ink. After the ink was good and dry I inked over the top of it with some Poweder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.  I love blending colors on glossy cardstock because they blend soooo easily!  For a final touch to the buildings I added some lights to them with a white gel pen.

Eclectic Expressions Three Ways

There's just over two weeks left of Sale-a-Bration and if you haven't gotten this set yet, make sure you earn it free before it's gone! Eclectic Expressions is so much fun to play with and it makes some amazing backgrounds and cards! I love this first card! I used it as a make and take and a workshop I did recently.  This card could easily be customized to any color combo or any occasion! I love the sequin trim added on the side.
This card is a great example of 2nd, 3rd, etc generation stamping.  For each column I only inked up the stamp once and stamped the top one first, then without reinking I went down the column stamping over and over so the circles got lighter and lighter.  For the smaller circle I inked it up every time for that pop of color. I love how the circles gradually get lighter in color! You could do this with any colors, I used Berry Burst.  Darker colors will work better as they'll last through more generations of stamping.
I'm so in love with the circles from this set!  I used 3 different colors and over lapped them over and over.  I used Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay.  I added some vellum over the top so that the pattern wouldn't over take the card.  I love how the vellum softens any background! There is so much you can do with this set!  Don't miss out on getting it!

Truly Tailored Three Ways

I hear all the time 'I struggle with masculine cards', 'I need masculine card ideas', 'I never have masculine cards on hand'. The Truly Tailored bundle is probably the best bundle for masculine cards!  The greetings are fun and classy, the paper is amazing and perfect for any guy!!!  Plus there's a coordinating punch which really makes everything better!
I love all the patterns on the DSP. Especially the glasses and bow ties, they're by far my favorite! I love how easily you can use this punch to create backgrounds and it all fits together perfectly!
There's so many more images and greetings in this set.  I can't wait to play with this card more.  I love this card.  I took an 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock and scored it at 4" and 9 1/2".  The shorter end I embossed with the stripe embossing folder.
It tucks under the label to make a fun fold card. So fun!!!!  Who wouldn't love this card!

Picture Perfect Birthday Four Ways

Picture Perfect Birthday was not originally on my wishlist from the Occasions Catalog.  I soon realized what I was missing out on and had to have it! Since then it's been one of my most used sets and I LOVE IT!  I hope this one sticks around for a while! I made a stack of 4 cards using this set and I can't even tell you which one I love the most! This first one is so cute and easy I paired it with the Pick a Pattern DSP and added some ribbon.
The second card is a 'CASE' (CASE=Copy And Share Everything) from the front of the Occasions catalog.  I changed up some colors and the greeting but the inspiration was straight from the catalog! There's so many samples and SU has the best artists creating these samples.  Use them and CASE them too!  I added some sequins from the Tutti-Frutti Suite to finish this card.
I think I love the colors on this card the most! It's so bright and fun, how can this card NOT make someone smile!?!  I love this color combo of Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach with a little black thrown in there too!
The final card is probably my favorite.  I know I said I couldn't pick a favorite but if I could it would be this one.....or the candle one......AHHH I can't decide!!!  This one is pretty awesome!  I love the repeated stamped greeting on the card base.  I was inspired by this card by Dawn Olchefske to do the tone on tone stamping in black, and boy to I LOVE IT!!!!

Mini Basket Weave Baskets

I have the easiest little mini basket, pouch, gift you've every seen! I made a stack of these in no time and you can too! I started with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is 2"x4", I ran it through the Big Shot with the new Basket Weave Embossing folder--remember you can only get this folder as a Sale-a-Bration item at the $100 level.  You get it with the Blossoming Basket Bundle! The handles are 1/4"x 4" I used a stapler to add the handles on and keep the top of the basket closed. So really it's more like a little pouch that looks like a basket ;)
Inside each one is a little Ghiradelli chocolate egg.  So cute!!  I finished each basket with a tag made with the Hello Friend stamp set.  This stamp set coordinates with the Hello Friend Project Kit in the Annual Catalog which I can't wait to make! I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and Pretty Label Punch to punch everything out and finished it off with some rhinestones and Shimmer Ribbon (another awesome Sale-a-Bration pick!).

Blossoming Basket and Blends

The Blossoming Basket Bundle from the second Sale-a-Bration release is so pretty!  I'm loving the stamp set and the amazing Basket Weave Folder (look for a fun project with that next week!).  Today I only used the stamp set.  I stamped the basket in Memento ink and colored it using my Stamping Blends.  I couldn't be more in love!  So pretty!!!
I heat embossed the butterflies on the DSP in the back.  The DSP by the way is from the Color Theory set.  I love that package and these graduated sheets of DSP! I also added some splatter with an Old Olive Marker.  The flowers are truly the star of this card though.  With the Blends it's so easy to get beautiful shading!

Epic Celebrations

Sale-a-Bration is in it's final weeks! I can't believe it!  There's still so much I want to do with these sets!  I haven't had a chance to use my Epic Celebrations set as much as I wanted so I made sure to make a couple cards with them.  I love these shoes! They're for sure my favorite part of this set! I paired the set with the Color Theory DSP and I think it looks pretty 'awesome'!
I colored the shoes with my Watercolor Pencils. I used the Real Red and a little Rich Razzleberry for a richer color.  I used the gray to add some shading to the white parts.  I finished the card with some faux stitching using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker and the stamped greeting. So cute!

Mini Watercolored Canvas

One of the gifts I gave to all my downline who attended the craft weekend was this sweet little mini canvas with a scripture about friendship on it.  I made four different ones.  This was my favorite color combination.  I was sure this would be my least favorite but I ended up loving this one the most! To make all the canvases I used a paint brush to wet it then used reinker to add color to it.  I made sure to blend them together with a paint brush.  I found a real paintbrush worked much better than an aqua painter for this.  For this one I used Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight and a little Berry Burst.
I used a black sharpie to add the verse. I also tried adding them with some metallic pens but in the end the sharpie worked the best.  For the purple one I used Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry.  For the blue one I used Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay and a little Tranquil Tide. The canvases were bought on Amazon and the little easels I had on had from last year when I picked them up at Target in their dollar spot.

Five Ways To Color Petal Passion DSP

I found some more pictures from Craft Weekend that I never shared. At the weekend I did a quick demo on five different ways to add color to our Petal Passion DSP from the Occasions Catalog.  The first is with a color spritzer.  I added 1-2 drops of Berry Burst Reinker to a color spritzer filled with water.  I sprayed my piece of DSP concentrating more spray on the bottom for a slightly darker shade. I used my heat tool to dry it and finished the card with the Celebrate You Thinlits.
The second way to add color is with our Stampin' Write Markers.  This was an easy pattern to add color to, I just randomly dotted some Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, Peekaboo Peach and Lemon Lime twist around and added to a card.  So cute!
The next way is with Watercolor Pencils.  I colored the flowers with the Rich Razzleberry and a little of the Real Red then blended them together with a blender pen. I finished the coloring with the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive pencils and finally with some stamped images and sequins.
The forth way to add color is with ink and Sponge Daubers. I used Bermuda Bay on the bottom, Tempting Turquoise in the center and Pool Party on the top and blended them all together using sponge daubers.  I love the gradient look! The card was finished with a white heat embossed greeting and a glimmer paper die cut from the Petals and More Thinlits.  So pretty!
The final way to add color to the Petal Passion DSP is with the Stampin' Blends.  This is my favorite way to color this paper, especially this pattern! I've cut up this sheet and take them to go with my Blends and color while waiting for kids, or killing time wherever! Every sheet is different and so pretty!

Mini Granola Bar Bags

At my class last week I gave out these super cute little bags.  I was inspired by this bag from Sam at Pootles. I followed her directions in the video and these came out super duper cute!  I used the a stamp from the Hello Friend set.  This set coordinates with the Hello Friend project kit, which I cannot wait to make! The paper is all from the Naturally Eclectic DSP pack.  I love that DSP!
Inside all the bags were these cute mini granola bars! I did  have to modify my measurements a little to accomodate the granola bars.  My DSP measured at 4 1/2" x 6". On the 4 1/2" side I score at 1/2" and 2 1/2" and on the 6" side I score at 1".

Fun and Fancy Fold Class

Last week I held a Fun and Fancy Fold Class.  I love this class!!  Fun folds make any card extra special.  All of these cards were easy and fun to put together! This first one uses the new Eclectic Expressions Sale-a-Bration set.  The more I use this set the more I love it! It's a must have for sure!
This is a Z fold card.  The card base is Pool Party and it's measured at 4 1/4" x 11", on the 11" side score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". The Whisper White piece is 9" x 2" on the 9" side score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Such a cute card!
This card is so pretty and would be a fantastic wedding or bridal shower card.  But it also works great as an all occasion card.  So pretty!  The front is beautiful, when you open the first flap you get this inside...

Then you open it again and you have your space to write a message or maybe add a gift card.  The flower was stamped and cut out of the front panel but adhered to the inside panel making a fun window in the front.
The card is simply two card bases (4 1/4" x 11") adhered together on the back.  Super fun and simple!
The Panda Diagonal Twist card was so much fun!  It's the perfect card for everyone!!!  Everyone loved it and it's so easy to recreate at home!
The paper is 4" x 12".  On the 12" side score at 4" and 8", then first and third square are scored diagonally in half from the top right to the bottom left.  That's it!  That's all the scoring! Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
The final card is probably my favorite.  It's so beautiful in person! The new Springtime Foil DSP in the second Sale-a-Bration release is soooooo beautiful!  It's a must have!!!  I know I've said this about all the cards but this one is super simple too! For the card base you start with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock .  On the 8 1/2" side score at 4 1/4" and on the 11" side score at 5 1/2".  Cut the cardstock in half diagonally and you have 2 card bases! That's it!
These cards are all fantastic and it would be great if I were able to say that I designed them all.  Well I can't.  Some of folds from this class were inspired by my second level upline Karen Titus.  Last month she had a class on Fun Folds and featured many of these.  So while I took some of her fold ideas, I created them my own.  Thanks Karen!

To see all the card and how they fold check out this video I did on my Facebook page.
